What is ASB?
ASB stands for Associated Student Body (ASB or Student Council) and we are student government that plays a vital role in connecting students to the heart of our community. As a hub for leadership, collaboration, and innovation, ASB is committed to:

• Bringing Our Community Together: We create meaningful experiences through dynamic events and activities that unite students, staff, and families.
• Fostering Leadership: ASB operates as a model of government, providing students with hands-on experience in decision-making, government procedures, teamwork, and advocacy.
• Perfecting Event Production: From dances to rallies to fundraisers, we equip students with real-world skills to plan, organize, and execute unforgettable events.
• Career and Technical Education (CTE): Students can earn a distinction in Events and Management, gaining career-ready expertise that sets them apart.

Incoming 8th Graders – Join ASB!
Are you ready to lead and make a difference at Terra Linda? The ASB program is highly competitive, with limited space available. However, even if you are not enrolled in the class, there are plenty of ways to get involved with student government and contribute to the vibrant spirit of our school. From joining committees to attending events and class meetings, every Trojan has a role to play in our community!

Key Dates for Incoming Freshmen:

• Applications Due: Friday, February 28
• Interviews Held: March 31–April 4
• Enrollment Notifications: After Spring Break

If you’re passionate about leadership, event planning, and being a part of something bigger, we encourage you to apply for ASB! We look forward to meeting the next generation of Trojan leaders.

Enrolled Students – How to Join ASB
Are you already a Terra Linda student and looking to get involved in ASB? You can join in one of two ways:

1. Run for an Elected Position: Represent your peers and make decisions that shape our school! 

   • Applications Open: February 1
   • Applications Due: Friday, February 28
   • Campaign Videos Filmed: March 5^th and March 7^th  and during 2^nd period
   • Elections Held: March 14

2. Apply for a Commissioner Position: Lead as part of a specialized team within ASB by interviewing for a Commissioner role.

   • Applications Due: Friday, March 21
   • Interviews Held: March 26^th and March 28^th during 4^th period

Don’t miss our Informational Meeting on Tuesday, February 4, during lunch to go over all the details about joining ASB, from running for office to becoming a Commissioner. This is your chance to learn more and ask any questions you may have.

Get Involved!
There are so many ways to participate in student government and make your voice heard! Join us for Class Meetings every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month to share your ideas, get updates, and learn how you can contribute. Elections are just around the corner—don’t miss your chance to run for a position and help shape the future of our school!
