Internships & Volunteering

School to Career Liaison: Laura Gonzalez

An internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest; it gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. Internships also offer the employer the opportunity to bring new ideas and energy into the workplace, develop talent and potentially build a pipeline for future full-time employees.

For internships during the school year and summer, speak with our School to Career Liaison, Laura Gonzalez. Ms. Gonzalez is located in the College & Career Center at Terra Linda High School on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is an excellent way for students to make a positive impact in their community and help organizations accomplish their missions, all while bolstering students' resumes for college applications and jobs. When considering a volunteer opportunity, consider the following: What could you learn in this position? What could you explore? What problem or challenge do you see in your community that you would like to help address?

See Ms. Morales in the College and Career Center to explore local volunteer opportunities.
