Meet Your Athletic Trainer
David Tapia is starting his second year as the Head Athletic Trainer at Terra Linda High School through Marin Health Medical Center. Prior to being a member of the Marin Health family, David was an Army Combat Medic where he has spent 3 ½ years in the active duty component and served a combat tour to Afghanistan. He is currently in the Army Reserves and recently completed his 10th year of military service. David completed his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training degree with a minor in Health Science – Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from California State University, Fullerton. His clinical rotations included working in the NCAA Division 1 setting working with sports such as, Women’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, Baseball, and Women’s Tennis. Other clinical rotations include the Community College and High School settings working with sports such as football, water polo, beach volleyball, volleyball and basketball. When David is not working you can catch him at the gym, fishing, or spending time with his girlfriend Vanessa and dogs; Mickey and Beretta, and his Black Orchid Betta.
