From the CCC:

Seniors who want to become teachers: pick up an application in the CCC for the Marin County School Administrators and School Board Associations. $400-$1,000. Due April 26.


Seniors going to COM or SRJC in the fall, please check the CCC for new scholarships.


Seniors: If you still want to apply to COM, or if you need to finish your application, please come to the CCC on Wednesday, March 21th,from 11-2. You will need your COM ID # to complete pre-registration on April 5th.


Career Talks at Lunch!

Students! Listen up! On Wednesday, March 27, bring your lunch and come hear a Kaiser Doctor speak about lung diseases and critical care! In the CCC, room 21.

Marin Builders Association Scholarship
Seniors pursuing construction industry majors or any other industry may apply. Certified Transcript and SAT ACT scores, three letters of rec. and
200-word essay. Due April 4th.


Marin Garden Club Scholarship
Seniors interested in studying conservation, horticulture, and/or environmental fields. Briefessay describing your interest, experiences, talents, and goals in the above fields. Resume, and two letters of rec, and a recent photo. Due by April 12. Hard copies in the CCC.

The Rotary Club of Terra Linda 
Minimum GPA 3.0, community service, or outside work, and financial need. Mail to: Scholarship Committee, Rotary Club of Terra Linda, P.O. Box 6682, San Rafael, CA 94903. Due March 27th. Pick up hard copy in the CCC.

BASHOF Toyota/Steve Young Scholar-Athlete Award

Two, $2,500 scholarships are awarded annually to one male, and one female college-bound senior whose academic and athletic careers have been exemplary and whose personal standards and accomplishments are a positive model for others. Essay, two letters of reference. Application information: April 5th.



Sophomores and Juniors are invited to apply for a free, week-long Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy, held in Quantico, Virginia, from July15-20. Students selected must be 16-18 years old by the start of the program, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have participated in athletics, leadership, and service-oriented activities. Also,they must perform well on an Initial Strength Test, possess leadership traits, and have strong moral and ethical standards.

The application can be found at April 1st.






Want to get paid to be a Math and Reading Grading Assistant after school?
The Kumon Center of San Rafael is looking for Grading Assistants, ages 15 through age 18!  Be part of a team two afternoons a week, from 3:00-6:30 p.m., for $12.50 an hour.

Work Permits and Jobs:

Students, who are at least 15: life guard training available, as well as for 16-year-olds, many local businesses, such as Macy's, Sol Food, Lego Playwell Activities Leaders and Kumon, needing a Reading Assistant, are hiring. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and clear any current Ds or Fs to be eligible to work during the school year. Come to the CCC to pick up the Work Permit Application, as well as to have Ms. Nichols issue your work permit. When school is not in session, ask Mrs. Tremolada at the front office.
