All students coming to Terra Linda from another High School MUST speak with our Athletic Director after meeting with our School Registrar and enrolling for classes. CIF/NCS must approve ALL transfer students for athletic eligibility.  CIF/NCS forms may be required, subject to the conditions of the student transfer.  See CIF bylaws 206, 207 and 510 for student transfer details (www.cifncs.org

2019-2020 Athletic Registration

FAMILYID REGISTRATION FOR ATHLETICS

 

The Fall 2019 Season will be here before you know it.

Terra Linda High School has instituted a new platform for athletic registration through FAMILYID.(www.familyid.com)

FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible.  When you register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in your FamilyID profile.  You enter your information only once for each family member for multiple uses and multiple programs.

ATHLETES WHO HAVE REGISTERED WITH FALL OR WINTER SPORTS 

Athletes who participated in a Fall or Winter sport and have registered for FamilyID should do the following to register for a Spring Sport:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Click on Spring Sports
  3. Click on the Spring sport your student athlete wishes to participate
  4. Click on all the agreements – Both Athlete and Parent/Guardian
  5. Edit any of your personal information if needed

ATHLETES WHO HAVE NOT YET REGISTERED FOR FAMILYID

A parent/guardian should register by going to the TL website and then to the Athletics page and click on the FamilyID link to get started.

Once on FamilyID site follow these steps:

  1. To find your program, click on the link provided by the Organization and select the registration form under the word Programs.
  2. Next, click on the green Register Now button and scroll, if necessary, to the Create, Account Log In.  If this is your first time using FamilyID, click Create Account
  3. Create your secure FamilyID account by entering the account owner First and Last names(parent/guardian), E-Mail and password.  Select I Agree to the FamilyID Terms of Service.  Click Create Account.
  4. You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account.  If you don’t see the email, check your E-mail filters(spam, junk, etc…)
  5. Click on the link in your activation E-Mail, which will log you into FamilyID.com.
  6. Once in the registration form, complete the information requested.  All fields with a red* are required to have an answer.
  7. Click the Continue button when your form is complete
  8. Review your registration summary.
  9. No Payment Required
  10. Click the green Submit button.  After selecting Submit, the registration will be complete.  You will receive a completion email from FamilyID confirming your registration.

Once you are in the portal, under Links on the right hand side, click on the Pre-Participation Physical Form and print.  This is the only piece of paper you will need.  This is the form your doctor should sign and stamp and then you can upload the form to your account.  You can also find the Pre-Participation Physical Form by going to the Forms and Information tab above on the top left of the page.

If you have trouble uploading the physical form, the form may be brought in to the Athletic Office.

You may login at www.familyid.com anytime to update your information and to check your registration(s).

To view a completed registration, select the Registration tab on the blue bar.

2018-2019 Student/Parent Guide to Athletics

Academic & Attendance Eligibility & Medical

ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY
Athletes must have a 2.0 GPA to participate AND have passed a minimum of four classes. 

Athletes can not have more than 1 F.

If you are below a 2.0 GPA and want to participate,
please see the AD to determine if you qualify for a one-time waiver. 

Students are not eligible for waiver if they have below a 2.0 2 quarters in a row.

Waiver is not available to 9th grade athletes.

 

Attendance Eligibility

Attend school a minimum of four (4) regular or two (2) block periods before being allowed to practice/play on any given day.  Maintain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and must be passing at least four classes according to SRCHSD, MCAL and NCS policies.

By taking this free, online course and using what you learn, you will be well positioned to improve the culture of concussion. Your actions can help create a safe environment for young athletes so that they can stay healthy, active, and thrive - both on and off the playing field.

Once you complete the training and quiz, you can print out a certificate, making it easy to show your league or school you are ready for the season.

Girls Basketball Summer Program

Terra Linda’s Lady Basketball summer season has started.  Practices are generally Mondays and Tuesdays from 6 to 8 pm in the main gym at Terra Linda High School.  All grades are practicing together, including incoming Freshman basketball players.  In addition, all grades are playing in summer league games and summer tournaments.  The TL coaches encourage all players who want to play high school basketball during the fall season to join their teammates during the summer season.  For additional information,  reach out to Coach Bart Saling, (415) 602-0915, or bart@thesalings.com.  In addition, you can stop by the gym on Mondays or Tuesdays, 6 – 8 pm.  But don’t wait too long - the more you play the better you will get.

2019 Summer Football Camp

Summer camp will start Tuesday, June 25th and go Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-6pm on Terra Linda's turf field.  We will take 4th of July week off.

Water Polo - Important Dates

We hope that your son or daughter will join us next season to further the tradition of success in our water polo program at Terra Linda High School. We are coming off of one of the most successful seasons in school history on both the boys and girls sides, and we look forward to continuing that trend next season and beyond. Below are some important dates to mark on your calendar if your son/daughter intends on joining the team in the Fall.

Conditioning Week:  August 12-16 

Girls: 

M: 8am-1pm

T: 8am-10:30am + 12:30pm-3pm

W: 8am-1pm

Th: 8am-10:30am + 12:30pm-3pm

F: 7am-10am

Boys: 

M: 8am-10:30am + 12:30pm-3pm 

T: 8am-1pm

W: 8am-10:30am + 12:30pm-3pm

Th: 8am-1pm

F: 7am-10am 

These are preseason conditioning practices with emphasis on strength and conditioning exercises both on land and in the water which will help in water polo.

These practices are REQUIRED for anyone who wants to play on the VARSITY teams next year. They are NOT REQUIRED, but highly recommended for anyone planning on playing on the JV teams.

Try-outs: Aug. 20-23 Girls: 3:00-5:30pm  Boys: 5:00-7:00pm
